Jhankar’s journey as a dedicated physiotherapist commenced in Delhi, India, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2015. Her unwavering commitment to helping others motivated her to gain valuable experience practicing in India before embarking on an exciting venture to Canada. While in Toronto and Calgary, she found great fulfillment working as a Recreational Therapist for over 4 years, notably assisting seniors with dementia in enhancing their quality of life. Nevertheless, her true passion for Physiotherapy eventually beckoned her back.

Jhankar is deeply intrigued by the interconnectedness of the human body, influencing her treatment philosophy, which places strong emphasis on addressing the underlying cause of the condition. Her approach incorporates hands-on therapy, customized exercise prescriptions and tailored treatment plans, all delivered with a client-centered focus.

Committed to continuous improvement, Jhankar actively pursues lifelong learning, staying updated on the latest research and embracing innovative strategies and techniques to better serve her clients.

Kendall grew up in Cochrane, Alberta and graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s of Science and Major in Kinesiology in 2017. Following this degree she worked for 3 years as a Professional Kinesiologist, expanding her exercise repertoire and building connections within the rehabilitation community. She then decided to pursue her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy through the University of Alberta.

From a young age, Kendall was passionate about living an active and healthy lifestyle, and established a love for competitive sports. She dedicated 15 years to competitive figure skating before quitting to pursue her educational endeavors. Through her commitment to competitive sports she had many first hand experiences working with multidisciplinary treatment teams including physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, psychologists, and dietitians. This ignited her passion for injury prevention and taught her the importance of proper rehabilitation. Through Kendall’s own rehabilitation journey, she has learned the value of personalized treatment, and approaches her practice with a client-centered focus. Kendall believes that proper education, hands-on therapy, and personally tailored exercises help to bridge the gap between an injury and recovery. She aims to empower her patients to create resilience to future injuries.

Beke is a compassionate internationally trained Trilingual Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Ghana in 2012, and has since been practicing until 2022 when he had moved to Alberta, Canada. The almost 10 years of experience started with pediatric rehabilitation where he provided ultimate care to children with disabilities before moving to assist post operative orthopedic and Musculoskeletal clients to improve upon their functional independence.

He is currently an interim Physiotherapist licensed in Alberta, Canada.

Paul’s goal as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is to work with his clients to achieve a sense of well-being and improve their movement to positively impact their quality of life and longevity. In 2020, he pursued his desired career as an RMT studying at Mount Royal University. He graduated in December 2022, and is now a member of the MTAA.

Over the past few years Paul has been striving to achieve a healthy active lifestyle, in order to better help his family and friends. Jumping into running in minimalist wide toe box shoes and balancing on handrails, he acquired a broken toe and a tendon injury to his left ankle. Throughout the healing process he discovered the value of a positive mindset, patience and consistency. Owner and operator of PhysioWorks, Jo-Ann is super excited to bring a level of excellence in Physiotherapy care to Airdrie.

Jo-Ann graduated from Dalhousie University in 1994 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy after completing her B.Sc in Psychology in 1990. After working in Canada for 5 years, Jo-Ann accepted a 7 month contract in Kuwait; 9 years later she returned to Canada and made Calgary her home. While overseas, she commenced her M.Sc. in Rehabilitation sciences from McMaster University; completing it in 2012.

In addition to her varied clinical experiences over the years, Jo-Ann has completed extensive training in manual therapy, muscle movement imbalances, mobilization of the nervous system, treatment of chronic pain and the assessment and treatment of occupational injuries. She is certified in Graston techniques as well as certified in Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. As a caring and devoted professional, Jo-Ann provides you with an individualized treatment program aimed at addressing your specific needs.

Jo-Ann has also completed training in Canine Physio. She previously worked at the Canine Fitness Centre in Calgary. While she has taken a leave from this position in order to focus on PhysioWorks, she holds the centre, the people and all the pups near and dear to her heart.

In her spare time Jo-Ann and her husband enjoy spending time in the mountains camping, travelling and heading to the beach in PEI in the summer. Jo-Ann was a committee member for the Betty’s Run for ALS for many years. She also enjoys running, working out, yoga and working in her yard/garden. She is working on training Clinic Dog Ca$h.

Vinod grew up in Kerala, India and graduated from MGR medical university in 2003. He moved to UK in 2004 and worked there for eight years before moving to Canada in 2012 and settling in Calgary.

Vinod has worked in acute hospitals, day programs , community rehab programs, long term care units and rehab clinics. He uses a bio-psycho-social (whole person, whole life) and self-management approach based on evidence and clinical reasoning. Vinod supports people to participate as fully as possible in the activities those are meaningful to them and create sustained changes in their lives. As an OT, Vinod is trained in both physical and mental health and support the development of strategies that people can directly apply to their normal activities.

Anna grew up on Vancouver Island where she completed her BSc in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. During this time Anna spent time with the Castaway Wanderers Rugby club and four seasons with the Vancouver Island Raiders football club as an athletic trainer. She went on to complete her MSc in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland before moving to Calgary in 2013. Since starting her career as a Physiotherapist, Anna has gained experience working both in private practice and pediatrics.

Prior to starting with PhysioWorks, Anna worked at CBI Health where she split her time between WCB return to work programming, private practice, and long-term disability. She was heavily involved with their chronic pain program, where she gained a greater appreciation for the complexity of pain disorders and the importance of holistic care. Anna has participated in additional training for complex pain management, functional movement screening, running gait analysis, and concussion assessment. She has completed AA1: Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture and is currently working on her certification through AFCI.

Anna is currently employed with Pacekids Programs within their Early Childhood Services (ECS) program delivering care to preschool and kindergarten aged children with special needs. Anna has a passion for working with children and is excited to further help families by offering private pediatric services in the community. Anna has had additional education in adaptive physical activity and toe walking and is able to offer both acute and developmental pediatric physiotherapy.

In her free time Anna likes to stay active and enjoys running and going to the gym. When the weather is nice she loves to spend time hiking, camping, and on Vancouver Island with friends and family.
